Who can use Mounjaro

However, it’s not just for anyone looking to shed a few pounds. Wegovy is part of a comprehensive weight management program that includes diet and exercise, and it\’s most effective for those who are committed to making long-term lifestyle changes.
Wegovy is not recommended for people with a personal or family history of certain types of thyroid cancer or those with multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). Wegovy is not suitable for use by pregnant women, as the effects are not yet understood.

Alopecia; appetite decreased (in patients with type 2 diabetes); asthenia; burping; constipation; diarrhoea; dizziness; gastrointestinal discomfort; gastrointestinal disorders; hypersensitivity; hypotension; lethargy; malaise; nausea; vomiting
Uncommon
Gallbladder disorders; pancreatitis acute; taste altered; weight decreased (in patients with type 2 diabetes)
Rare or very rare
Angioedema
Frequency not known
Hypoglycaemia
Side-effects, further information
Discontinue if symptoms of acute pancreatitis occur, such as persistent, severe abdominal pain. If pancreatitis confirmed, do not restart treatment.
